Wisdom & Understanding

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God , who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him” – James 1:5 (NKJV).

Wisdom, the principal thing. Of the utmost importance.
Understanding, the safeguard of everything in life.
Do I always operate in wisdom?
In all that I do, do I seek understanding?
I am riddled with flaws, fears, anxieties.
Sometimes, I am steeped in shame.
The battle rages within.
What I want to do versus what I ought to do.
Through these lenses of war I make decisions.
Daily choices, that determine the outcome of life and living.
What do I perceive? How do I react?
What actions should I take? How do I move?

Wisdom, the principal thing.
Understanding, the safeguard of everything in life.
I need wisdom, for in it lies depths of insight.
I require understanding for through it I can holistically discern, revelation.
So I ask from the one who “gives liberally and without reproach”
I ask for wisdom. I petition for understanding.
For when I live with wisdom, I learn to love my own soul.
As I grow in understanding, I find good all around – Proverbs 19:8 (NKJV).
