When the oceans rise When the thunders roar When the lightening strikes When the rain pours down When the storm rages When the road seems gone Out of the wreck, I rise. Though mountains emerge Though valleys stretch on Though all friends and foe Start to seem as one Though hope glimmers dim As something too far off Out of the wreck, I rise. When nothing goes as planned When there's nowhere I belong When uncharted waters Becomes the tune of my song When my heart is troubled When my soul scuffles Out of the wreck, I rise. For "when the oceans rise and thunders roar. I will soar with You above the storm Father You are King over the flood I will be still, know You are God" (Reuben, 2003). Out of the wreck, I rise every time For faith makes a fool of what is to make sense Out of the wreck, I rise every time For when it comes to You, Logic makes no sense. Romans 8:31-39 "What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son but delivered Him up for us all How shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died And furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God Who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation or distress, or persecution Or famine, or nakedness or sword? As it is written "For Your sake we are killed all day long We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter" Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors Through Christ who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life angels nor principalities nor powers things in the present nor things to come height nor depth nor any other created thing Shall be able to separate us from the love of God Which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
