Cold, Barren
Hardened, Unyielding
Dark, Lifeless
What’s the point of it all?
Nothing changes
Each sway the same
Dead – completely dead
Or So It Seems
Beneath the cold barren ground
Is the regeneration of life
Unseen to the naked eye
Underneath the hardened and unyielding bark
Lie the very nectar of life itself
Though it stands dark and lifeless
There is so much it gives, even to all around it
What’s the point of it all?
The awe. The wonder.
The witness of something as divinely magical as REBIRTH
Nothing changes
Yet nothing remains the same
Each sway simple
But its purpose unique
The momentum, always timely
Dead – completely dead
Or are my eyes just untrained to the great beyond?
