For believing, what is my motive?
For service, what is my motive?
For spending time, what is my motive?
For fellowship, what is my motive?
For obeying, what is my motive?
For loving what is my motive?
For praying, what is my motive?
In everything, what is my motive?
Is it for His will and His glory?
Or is it about what I want from Him?
Is it for His heart and to know Him better, deeper?
Or is it because there is a promise of blessings?
Is it because I truly love Him?
Or is it because I know that He cannot stop loving me, no matter what?
What is my motive for that which I say I believe?
What is my motive for following Him?
What is my motive for all that I do “for Him”?
Do I even know ‘what I believe and why I believe it’?
Psalm 139:23-24 (NKJV) – “Search me, O God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my anxieties and see if there is any wicked way in me and lead me in the way everlasting”.
Why do I serve God? What is my motive?
