Contentment

Whether I have plenty
Whether I have little
Is God enough for me?
Am I content with God?

“The Lord is my Shepherd”
“I have all that I need”
Do I take these words to heart?
Do I live in the truth of these words?

What do I allow to rock my faith?
What do I allow to shift my focus?
Is it situations in life?
Is it my finances?
Is it my desires and things I think I should have?
Is it waiting for a certain response or outcome?
What do I allow to rock my faith?

“The Lord is my Shepherd”
“I have everything I need”
Why do I forget this too often?
Why do I fail to remember whose I am?

The Lord, my Shepherd
The Lord, my Father
The Lord, my Saviour
The Lord, my Friend
The Lord, my Creator

The Creator of the universe who gave His life for me
The Friend who is closer than the air I breathe
Who put me together in my mother’s womb
Him who said that He shall meet all my needs
He who said that I shall lack no good thing
He who said that I am inscribed in His palm.
Is He enough for me?

“I will be content in every circumstance”
“Jireh, You are enough.”
But do I live like it?

“One of the most important things you can learn to do is to enjoy where you are on the way to where you are going” – Joyce Meyers
